The striking facade design was created by the renowned Hamburg architect Carsten Roth and features a green-colored 6WL stainless steel facade and a wood-look HPL facade. <\/p>\n<p>The stainless steel facade is particularly impressive, with a color scheme that changes from yellow to blue to green depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle. The facade elements were visibly riveted and attached to an aluminum\/stainless steel substructure. The new building is in a central but logistically challenging location between Glockengie\u00dferwall and the parking lot in Ernst-Merck-Stra\u00dfe. In the coming years, it will serve as a temporary building for the station mission before it may have to make way for the new subway line 5, which will run directly underneath the building.   <\/p>\n<p>The facade design of this project is something very special, and as facade builders we hope that the construction work on subway line 5 will take a little longer so that this extraordinary facade can be preserved for longer.<\/p>\n<p>The award ceremony will take place on October 24 in Frankfurt, and we are excited to see whether this project can prevail in its category.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted that our project &#8220;Bahnhofsmission Hauptbahnhof Hamburg&#8221; has been nominated for the German Facade Award 2024 in the &#8220;Modular Building&#8221; category!
