The former Telekom administration building in Hamburg is being converted into an apartment building by Apartment040 Stellingen GmbH & Co. KG.

CONSENS Bautechnik was awarded the contract to renovate the facade surfaces with a total area of over 7,000 m².

From mid-February to around September 2018, the building will be given a new outer skin made of Alucobond in the color metallic-grey.

Now that the building has been completely scaffolded and the asbestos-containing facade cladding has been dismantled in sections, over 1,000 windows are being replaced with new ones. Directly after this, the facade construction with more than 1,200 pillar claddings will be built.

The core zone, originally planned in fiber cement, will be provided with an ETICS in the course of the conversion. Only the cafeteria attached to the building will be clad in fiber cement.
