Copper is a semi-precious metal that has been known and loved for thousands of years. It is easy to shape and very resistant. Over time, copper forms an oxide layer that changes color and can ultimately lead to the typical greenish patina. The patina protects the underlying metal from further corrosion, meaning that copper facades can have a very long service life. The natural corrosion process can be anticipated by pretreating the copper strips accordingly. Pre-oxidized copper strips have a brownish color, tinned copper strips turn matt grey and pre-patinated copper strips have the typical green patina. Its positive properties and high-quality appearance make copper a popular cladding material for facades. Copper is non-combustible and fully recyclable. Copper is also frequently used in the form of copper composite panels for facade cladding. These generally offer a particularly flat surface and can be manufactured in large dimensions. For facade cladding, wall cladding and roofs, we use selected high-quality branded copper products from KME, Aurubis and many other manufacturers.
