Photovoltaic modules are increasingly being used to generate solar power on facades and roofs. Designed as a ventilated facade, photovoltaic modules are attached to metal substructures on the load-bearing exterior walls. In addition to traditional photovoltaic modules, composite photovoltaic elements are also widely used. The modules can either be integrated inconspicuously into the facade or used for the independent large-scale design of the facade. Photovoltaic modules are durable, easy to process and guarantee a high-quality appearance. Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) is regarded as a pioneering technology. It will become increasingly important, particularly in the context of the further tightening of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) and in the planning and construction of new buildings as energy-generating buildings. For facade cladding, we use selected high-quality branded products, including those from LITHODECOR, Schüco and many other manufacturers.
